Open now for almost 4 years, Cajun Swamp is the brainchild of Vin Nguyen, a local entrepreneur who was looking to bring something a little different to the Fullerton dining scene…to add a little spice, Cajun spice! Having graduated from Cal State Fullerton by way of Fullerton College, Vin knew that his old college town would be the perfect place to offer up his upbeat brand of Creole cuisine.

The Swamp- as many have grown to call it- offers a unique New Orleans style cuisine that many have come to love.  We won’t tell you what the surprise is in how Cajun Swamp prepares or presents the crawdads, crab legs, and shrimp, but be prepared for an escapade that really brings the word “adventure” back to going out to eat.  And be ready for a hot, spicy, messy, one of a kind entrée where you will want to say “Yes please!” when the wait staff asks if you want a bib.  And by the smiles on everyone’s face, we can definitely tell you that dining at the Cajun Swamp is about more than just good food- it’s about having fun in how you eat it.

This is not formal dining, nor was it meant to be.  It’s a place to bring the whole family.  There’s butcher paper on the tables, music playing, and a sporting event on the flat screens.  Cajun Swamp is a great place to catch the game with some friends or to stop by for a little late night snack (open until 2 am Fridays and Saturdays).
Cajun Swamp has affordable prices and one look at the menu and you know you are in for a treat.  Crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, Po’Boys, Gumbo, Jambalaya and the popular Crabby Crowd! Tasty Cajun dishes served by some of the friendliest staff in town.

With so many established choices in Fullerton, it might be easy to overlook the Cajun Swamp…but it’s definitely worth a walk around the back of the old Brandle Building to give this spicy number a try.  This restaurant is a hidden gem that will soon be recognized as the most fun dining experience in downtown.
